First Easter...Sharpe's and the Hall's

Well, this is Peyton's 4th Easter!!
We started the week off with Grammy, Pops, and Emily arriving from Texas on Tuesday. On Wednesday they took Peyton to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and they stayed at a hotel, swam, and explored natural trails....They came home late Thursday night....Peyton had a BLAST!!!

On Good Friday, we hung around the house and then decided to go to downtown Chattanooga and walk around and see what there is to see....Last time I have really walked around downtown Chatt was when Jason proposed to me on October 3, 2001! Anyhow we parked, and we walked down by the river then walked over the Walking Bridge, and went into Coolidge Park, and Peyton and I rode the carousel, it was fun!!!

On Saturday morning dad wanted to take Peyton to a cave so we went to raccoon mountain's cave. Peyton absolutely loved it. During Christmas we went to a place called Rock City, and there was a cave there that he got kind of spooked in, and so by going to this cave he overcame that fear! So proud of him!!!

Then at 2 on Saturday was our church Easter Egg Hunt at Tinsley Park.....it was a very fast Easter egg it seemed like!!! Peyton got 3 prize eggs for $1.75! Think his dad was a little more excited about winning those than did he ;0) Then after the Hunt my dad had brought a kite to the park and we flew that and Peyton had bubbles too, it was a blast! That night we dyed Easter eggs.....Peyton's 1st experience of dyeing eggs it was fun!

Then, Easter Sunday came....we went to the 11 o'clock service....then took some pictures....and we ate the Easter lunch that mom and I had made...it was delicious! Then Peyton hunted for his eggs he made in the backyard....

This was the first Easter ever with Jason, Peyton, and me, and my family....it was a very very neat and memorable weekend...and I'm thankful that they came and visited us during this time....

Enjoy the Easter Pictures....

March Fun....

Yep, I'm a MONTH behind in blogging!!!!
The Sharpe household has officially gotten SUPER busy!!!

This past weekend was Winterfest weekend....which for those of you who don't know what this is, it's equivalent to like Passion and other conferences that youth go to, with bands and speakers....David Crowder Band was there along with other bands....Eddie James was awesome too!! and we had 3 amazing speakers!!!

Here is Jason & me at wfest....can you tell we're TIRED lol!!!

We took nearly 50 people this past Friday through Saturday, and it was just amazing!!! God really moved in the lives of our youth and even leaders, and that is what it's all about!!!!! Even though i'm EXHAUSTED lol!

Then the next big event weekend is March 28-29th, and that's Teen Talent, which my job and Jason being a youth pastor is very involved in, and has made us super busy....and for those who don't know what this is, it's different Divisions such as Drama, Music, Writing, Art, that the kids in our state's denomination compete in.....so anyways, our youth are very involved in this!!!

And you're thinking, well how is Peyton and where does he fit into all this....

Peyton is great, and he is such a Pastor's kid, and does so well with everything....thankfully we have Jason's parents that live right here in Cleveland, that Peyton goes and stays with in times like this.....
He is such a sweet lil man...I'm adding some pictures of him from a service where all the kids went down from 18 years of age to younger, and you can barely see him worshiping....i love it! He really loves being in church (and thank goodness b/c we're there every single week) I am trying to teach him to not run in church, in the sanctuary, and not to get on the stage, and that's so hard when other kids run around and get on the stage, but he's learning that this is God's House, and we need to respect it....it's even harder that we meet in an actual middle school right now too....but he's doing great with it!!!

He is loving being outside too now that the weather is getting warmer, I'm adding some park pictures too!

Today my parents and sister, Emily, are coming in through Easter Sunday, I'm very excited about that, they have never spent Easter w/Peyton and they haven't spent Easter with me since I was in college!!! They are going to take Peyton on Wednesday and Thursday to an overnight trip to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg....:0) Peyton woke up at 7:45 this a.m. asking if they were here yet....poor lil guy, kids don't understand the concept of time, and if your kid does, teach me how to teach Peyton to know what it is ;0)!!!!

Until later...

Wedding Weekend...

So, my baby sister, Rebecca, got married this past weekend, what a weekend!!!

Peyton and I left at about 8.30 to fly out of Birmingham, AL, it's about a 2 hour 20 min. drive over, which Atlanta is 2 hours so I'd rather drive 20 more minutes because of the smaller airport and cheaper price. I put Peyton in his stroller (yes he's 3 1/2--and 43 inches tall and rides in a stroller--well when I'm in an airport by myself I do, scares me to death what could happen) and I grab our bags, I learned from the last trip to attach the luggage on top of each other, plus it's easier to move around. We checked in our luggage, everything is going great! Then, we have to go through the security point. I know people hate waiting for those that have kids to go through the security point, and this time, my child does not want to take off his shoes, I don't understand this phobia, but he didn't, it was so frustrating!!! But, God gave me amazing patience this trip...so we finally made it through, Praise God! :0)

Then, we waited for a little while, and we were the first on the plane, I love the way some airlines let those w/kids under 5 board 1st!!! It's great! Peyton was so excited to go on the plane...He mostly watched his DVD player on the flight to TX....he was great! ;0)
Then we landed, headed to the baggage claim, and my sweet parents were standing there, with Valentines Roses for me, and a Valentines gift for Peyton, I felt so special! It has been ages since I spent Valentines w/my parents (but I missed MY Valentine) but it was sweet to see the roses and my parents...lol didn't mean to put roses first HA!

When we got to the house, my dad, had filled up his pond last April w/catfish, baby catfish then, and he was so proud to take his 1st grandson fishing! And guess what! Peyton caught his 1st fish!!!

And he also road on a paddle boat:

After this day Peyton was flat worn OUT!!! It was a long day, and he had no problems going to sleep!

Friday, we just ran errands...

Saturday, was the wedding day....
It was a very pretty wedding, considering my parents and sister, and her inlaws got it together in 3 weeks!

Peyton loves his aunts....
My sister was gorgeous :0) Here are some photos...

And Peyton was a doll!!! :0)
Peyton was a Bell Boy with another little boy by the name of Max(and please note, he's 5 and Peyton is 3 look how they're the same size)....he's a little boy Becca babysat, and during rehearsal, they raced down the aisle LOL!!! and with the bells it was HILARIOUS!!! But when they came down during the actual wedding they were soooo good and so sweet!!! I was proud of them, here are few photos of the 2 of them being silly, and then another picture with the Bride and Groom and the flower girl-Margie, Max's sister...

Then, Doug, the groom, had a sister who is 15, that Peyton ADORED...he met her Thursday, and wanted to be with her all the time!!! (He loves teen girls for some reason ;0) could it be he's around them all the time!?) lol here is a photo of the two of them...

He had it bad, when he went back to my parents house to go to sleep after spending the whole night with her, at the wedding and reception, he cried and cried for her, and would say "Brooke come here" it tore me up!!! It was awful!!!! But, it's ok now...

This is my 2 sisters and brother....

And this is our entire family, minus my hubby :0(

All 6 of us minus our siblings and Em's boyfriend...and of course Peyton ;0)

And here is a photos of my sisters, sister-in-law, and me...
(pictured l-r)Sister in "love"-Heidi Hall, Sister, Emily, Sister Rebecca...

And my last story is....
Sunday, our flight was at 1.35, and my parents wanted to take us all out for a brunch....But! IHOP didn't cooperate with that idea, they are SO slow, in getting seated and the food, well the one in Allen, TX lol at about 11 a.m.....it was tough...so we got at the airport at 1, the line to check in baggage was TERRIBLE, I finally got to the counter, they said that they can't ASSURE us that the baggage will be there b/c it was less than 30 mins to leave....UGHHHH I was so frustrated! Then we went to the security line, and it was even WORSE, and I asked a lady that worked there if I could cut, she said no, but there's another security place and shorter line, and sure enough it was, but we SPRINTED there, and then Peyton was crying b/c he didn't want to leave Pops and Grammy and everyone...it was awful, then he didn't want to take off his shoes...even worse...stressing me out! We made it through, w/less than 10 minutes to fly out time!!! Then I ran up to the gate, and the man said I hold the key to the gate so you're getting on, I WAS SOOOO RELIEVED, I could stop worrying!!! SIGH! We got on the plane, as soon as I got on they said, please shut the door, I was the LAST one on ;-) but we made it, then we took off, and Peyton slept the entire way there!!! It was relaxing....Then we got off...and our LUGGAGE WAS THERE!!!! Yay!!!

Our weekend, was a very good, but DRAMATIC weekend LOL!!!! God is Goo
d!

this week...

This week is hard...it's Valentines Day on Thursday, and Thursday morning, Peyton and I are flying out to Texas (which is great don't get me wrong!) But, my first Valentines Day without my husband....:0( We're going to go and celebrate it tonight though...but it's not the same...

So, we're going to Texas because my youngest sister, my BABY sister is getting MARRIED! It's so surreal, doesn't even seem like she should be old enough to be DRIVING!! (I still am tense when I ride with her just because of the fact I think of her as my baby sister!) But, she is getting married, and they both believe it is God's Will, and it's what He wants for them....that's all I want her to be--is in God's Divine Will, and that they both have a relationship with our Lord and Savior, I can't do anything else, but pray for them....

But, I dread driving to the airport alone, w/a 3 year old, and getting on the airplane and flying alone, but my parents will be there to pick us up in Texas, just uneasy about it all...just please pray for a hedge of protection over Peyton and me on Thursday morning....thanks...

I hope to have some cute pictures up next week of my cute lil man!!! :0)

Peyton & Makayla-Peyton's face is a little silly here LOL!

Peyton & Mak playing!

First snow of 2008!!! How exciting!! Too bad it was ABOVE freezing lol

But, Peyton LOVED it!!!

Uncle Shane & Aunt Heidi will appreciate this picture :0)!!!

Here it is already January 23rd!
This month has FLOWN by!!!
We're all doing so well....
This past weekend Jason was out of town, for a Tools Conference, so Peyton and I went on a DATE! We went to see the new Veggie Tales...the Pirates Who don't Do Anything! It was quite cute! If I had known that it would of been opening night of 27 Dresses, I would of passed on going Friday night though, just didn't want to be at the house by ourselves on a Friday night....The line was forever long :0( Once we got in got the popcorn it had already started, but Peyton was ok with that! The movie was good, just a few things that disturbed Peyton...such as the cheese curls chasing one of the little guys, I could tell because he got REALLY tense!! I was holding his hand and he was squeezing it pretty hard, poor thing! I'm just thankful the pirates didn't have skeletons on their hats, a little too much for a 3 year old! But, when the movie was over he didn't want to leave lol, he said can we stay? Hard to explain to a 3 year old, that you can't just hang out in a movie theater HAHA!

Another thing Peyton is big on is the XBOX 360 his uncle Justin got him a pack of 3 for Christmas, the Pixar Cars and Open Season and another one, he loves 2 out of the 3, and is pretty good at it! I can actually do the games, and I've never been big on all that! lol

:0) We love all of you guys!
